A Coupling Optimization Method of Vehicle Structure and Restraint System for Occupant Injury Protection in Traffic Accidents
نویسندگان
چکیده
Vehicle front-end structure has the characteristic of symmetry. The damage occupants in crash process is determined by combined effect and restraint system vehicle. In this paper, coupling relationship an optimized method for vehicle are studied based on dynamics, to reduce occupant injury. A fast solution algorithm motion response was established using a analytical model. Then, database algorithm, analyze between pulse specific stiffness, with respect curve shape parameters. results showed that combination concave upward stiffness best coupling. Subsequently, coupled optimization proposed model genetic (GA). data from NHTSA databases were optimized, as example, verify effectiveness method. optimal acceleration reduced 44%. addition, feasibility result discussed, provide reference injury protection traffic accidents.

development and implementation of an optimized control strategy for induction machine in an electric vehicle
in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...

Current procedures for estimating occupant risk in real-world vehicle crashes do not account for the performance of the occupant restraints, such as seatbelts and airbags. This paper compares the ability of two restraint performance metrics, the ridedown efficiency and the restraint quotient, to predict occupant injury as measured by a crash test dummy. The responses of crash test dummies were ...
متن کاملModeling Vehicle Occupant Head and Head Restraint Positions
In January 2001, NHTSA issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) concerning the regulation of automobile head restraints in Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 202. This report presents analyses of occupant posture and position data that were conducted in preparation for comments from UMTRI on the NPRM. The focus of this report is on the potential impact of head restraint geometry...
متن کاملDrowning Deaths in Motor Vehicle Traffic Accidents
Very little is known about drowning deaths that occur as the result of motor vehicle traffic accidents. The two research questions addressed in this paper are how frequently do drowning deaths as a result of motor vehicle traffic accidents occur and what are the circumstances surrounding these deaths. The choice of the word “accident” instead of “crash” in this paper is intentional to avoid con...
